For the past 75 years the Guide’s army of knowledgeable readers have helped us to sniff out the best food around the country. So it was no surprise that when we published our line up of Britain’s Best Bakeries in March, many of you had suggestions to add to the list. Below we’ve catalogued some of the most lobbied-for bakeries and we’re all ears for more carb-based campaigning.

'In a world of cafes, so-called restaurants and eateries this place stands out in every respect. Great place, with an outside space at the front, the inside so atmospheric with a great ever-changing menu, all prepared by Darren and presented beautifully by his wife Sarah. I had home cooked ham with asparagus poached eggs, fries and hollandaise. Delicious. Just go, you will not regret it! P.s. great coffee and homemade cakes too, and there's free parking in the car park adjoining the nearby Morrisons.'
